Rivendale Lodge is an independently run residential home, specializing in the care of the elderly, suffering from Dementia, Alzheimer's disease and associated mental health conditions. We are dedicated to providing a total care package for service users within the EMI client group, beginning from our very first correspondence to pre-assessment and final admission stage. We recognise that the care needs of every individual is unique and also varies over time - we therefore pride ourselves on promoting independence and catering to that change to each degree, whilst maintaining a safe, comfortable and stimulating environment. The home is situated on one of Eastbourne's premier roads, close to the District General Hospital and but a mile from the town centre itself, providing a safe, centralised position to enable us to offer a wide range of opportunities for our clients. We are also proud to announce that Rivendale Lodge is the recipient of the 2006 YMCA Super Employer award, for our Staff Training & Career Development, and in 2007, two members of staff also received special awards for individual merit.
Upcoming Events - Spring/Summer 2009 Father's Day Party - 21st June 2009 2.00 - 5.00 - A chance to get together to celebrate that most traditional of days, with musical entertainment, buffet and refreshments and the indispensable raffle! Annual Summer Fete - 30th August 2009 2.00 - 6.00 - The Fifth Rivendale Lodge Summer fete - Open to the Public - held in the garden and grounds of the home. Each year we have a great day for everyone with stalls, activities, games, events, prizes, cream teas and more! This year promises to be a bit special, and hopefully, not as weather dependent as last year! Please look on our events page for photos of previous years events.
Newsletter Rivendale Lodge produces a newsletter on a quarterly basis, detailing news, views, special interest articles and up and coming events at the home. If you are interested in receiving the next edition, please send an email entitled 'Newsletter' to RivendaleCare@aol.com. Alternatively, if you would prefer a printed copy sent to you via the postal service, please send an email with your postage address. All information received will be treated in the strictest of confidences. |
